Get Ready to Rock and Roll (and Maybe Run from a Giant Bone Hammer) at ReaperCon 2025 with Midknight Heroes!

ree

Hey Heroes and Tabletop Titans!

ReaperCon 2025 is almost upon us (August 27-31 in Denton, TX!), and let me tell you, Midknight Heroes is crashing the party with more new releases than a goblin hoard after a gold rush! This year, we're putting a massive spotlight on the Dwarven Forge faction for our super-fun, easy-to-learn, but surprisingly deep skirmish game, Dual Fates!

Never played Dual Fates? You're missing out! It's a lightning-fast 2x2 board game that's a breeze to pick up but will keep you strategizing for ages. Good news: we'll be running demos ALL DAY at Table 17! Seriously, come on by, roll some dice, and see what the fuss is all about. You might just find your new obsession.

Digging into the Dwarven Forge!

This year, our big focus is on the Dwarven Forge – or, as they prefer to be called in official circles, "The Dwarven Kingdom of Khaz." These stout, bearded folks are generally a peaceful bunch. They love to mine, they love to drink (probably too much, bless their little dwarven hearts), and they love a good time. But don't let their jovial nature fool you; when the time for a fight is nigh, they are absolutely there for it.

And what glorious new goodies are we bringing for these glorious beard-wielders? Oh, you are NOT ready...

  • Pebble: Your New Best (Rock) Friend! First up, meet Pebble! These little rock golems are basically the Dwarven version of a household pet, if your pet was a fast, round ball of stone that spits smaller rocks. Dwarves often stumble upon them during their deep mining expeditions, and these specific rocks are fiercely protective of their dwarven pals. They're on a 40mm base, surprisingly speedy for a rock, and while they won't win any close-combat awards, their "rock spit" ranged attack is pure gold. Plus, they're cute. Like, ridiculously cute. You'll want ten.

Pebble, so cute!

  • Rumble: The Grumpy, Earth-Shaking Powerhouse! Next, brace yourselves for Rumble! This guy is a Character-class mini and he's basically a living, breathing (and very angry) mound of earth. Picture this: a dwarven mining expedition, minding their own business, and suddenly... BAM! They unearth Rumble, who just wanted to be left alone. He's since reluctantly integrated into dwarven society because, despite his perpetually grumpy demeanor, he's surprisingly intelligent. On the battlefield, Rumble is VERY strong and can literally move through the ground with ease! He's not a full-on construct, just a pure, unadulterated, living hunk of rock on a 25mm base that'll shake your opponents to their core.

Beyond the Beards: Undead & Universals!

But wait, there's more than just dwarves (even if dwarves are objectively the best). We've got some skeletal surprises and tactical totems for everyone!

  • The Bone Giant: Because Bigger is Always Better (and Bonier)! The Undead Court is getting a monstrous new addition: The Bone Giant! This massive brute stands tall on a 40mm base and wields two absolutely enormous bone hammers. Like other Bone soldiers, this guy is a fallen giant reanimated by the creepy powers of the Dark Pillar or the Undead Court's generals. He's a Companion-class mini, but don't let that fool you – he's got more abilities than most companions and, thanks to his colossal size, costs a bit more. The coolest part? He can literally throw or carry other Bone warriors and soldiers around the battlefield! Talk about a fun way to reposition your troops (or just hurl them at your enemies).

  • Mimic & Treasure Chest: Your New Favorite Summoning Shenanigans! We're also dropping two generic summoning totems that anyone can use: The Mimic and The Treasure Chest!

    • The Mimic, being the mischievous trickster it is, can mimic one ability of ANY of your opponent's units (even their summoning totem!) for a small price. Imagine the mind games!

The Mimic, it's just so cute.
    • The Treasure Chest, on the other hand, is much more straightforward. It's a treasure chest, so it gives you 1 Fate Token per round, no matter what! Who doesn't love free loot?

And for the Grown-Ups (or just the Adventurous)!

Last but certainly not least, for those who appreciate miniatures with a bit more... "oomph," we're adding a new bust to our Midknight Nights line: a lovely and decidedly sexy Captain Sedi! If you're into pirates and bikinis, this one's definitely for your display shelf.

We might even have a few more surprises pop up as our team finalizes designs, but you can bet your lucky dice these new releases will be making their debut at ReaperCon 2025.
