Nina: The Lady of the Brig on The Mermaid's Call

In the sprawling, often chaotic world of Ashura, you find friends, foes, and then... you find pirates. Specifically, you find The Sea Spring Pirates. While the name might conjure images of brutality, this infamous crew—led by the formidable Captain Sedi—is equally known for their skill, their love of shinies, and, surprisingly, their kindness. They just want the loot, not necessarily a reputation for cruelty.

But even the kindest pirate crew needs a firm hand to keep things shipshape. Enter Nina, the Jailer.


Design and Personality: The Velvet-Gloved Iron Fist

Nina is not a sweetheart, and she doesn't pretend to be. Serving as Captain Sedi's trusted enforcer, her job is simple: if a crew member steps out of line, they are corrected swiftly and harshly. If you find yourself enjoying a "good night in the brig" under her watch, you’ve fundamentally misunderstood the concept of punishment. The reality is, a stint in Nina’s custody is anything but fun.


Despite her severe disposition regarding discipline, Nina is one of the most highly regarded and loyal members of The Sea Spring Pirates. Her commitment ensures that the Mermaid's Call remains a functional, if slightly terrified, fighting unit.


Confining Magic: The Instant Cell

Nina's specialized role comes with specialized power. She is an expert in Confining Magics, a rare discipline perfectly suited to her duties. Nina doesn't just guard the brig—she is the brig. When needed, she actively summons the jail cells for the Mermaid's Call right out of thin air. Think of her as the ultimate mobile lock-up: one wrong word, and a perfectly secured cell materializes around the offender.
